WEEKEND OF HUNTING!

The 2023 Hunter’s Welcome that took place in the HEB parking lot was a success on Friday thanks to the Lampasas County  Chamber of Commerce, the Lampasas County Game Wardens, and all of the sponsors who made the event possible. This busy and exciting Hunter’s Welcome made way for a great 2023 Big Buck Contest this year brought to you by Hoffpauir’s Ranch & Supply and Lampasas Radio. There were lots of entries and people were pouring in from different corners of central Texas to bring in their bucks. These are the results from the contest:
First Place Low Fence went to Zack Linder with a score of 159.
Second Place Low Fence went to Walker Tippie with a score of 148.
Third Place Low Fence went to Macey Joseph with a score of 146.
Fourth Place Low Fence went to Farrah Thornblom with a score of 133.
Best Buck Taken by Youth went to Gage Richmond with a score of 123.

If you made it down to the square for this year's Halloween event, you were one of several hundred people who turned out for a treat! This year offered over 50 booths with games, food, prizes, and of course – candy! The costume contest drew almost every child in attendance to the stage, and some parents, too. Some of the stand-out costumes were the youngest “little old lady” we’ve ever seen, La Muerte from The Book of Life, a glowing jellyfish, and a prize deer mounted on a mantel, fireplace and all! We would like to give a shout-out to every contestant who braved the stage; y’all were all so creative and unique!
Thank you to the city of Lampasas for coming together to bring a night of fun for all ages. “Square” you next year!
