Lampasas County Commissioners met Wednesday afternoon with Commissioner Robert Vincent presiding over the meeting. Vincent is the “senior” Commissioner and was standing in for absent County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse.

The meeting had been called to discuss possible hires for the County Treasurer’s Office. A recent resignation had left the office short-handed and Treasurer Nelda DeRiso was seeking direction on pay-setting rules. It appears that the Commissioners granted her the leeway to do the hire as needed, so long as the office stay within its budget.
