District Judge John Gauntt had 47 cases before him last Friday when he sat in District Court in Lampasas.
The full docket was handled by resetting 36 of the cases for future dates, sending 5 to jury trials and settling 6 of them.
Of the settled cases, Roger Alan Voight, 32 of Georgetown, will continue on probation for burglary; Adam Lee Kelly, 18 of Mason, got 5 yrs deferred adjudication probation and a $500 fine for aggravated sexual assault of a child; Christopher Gregory Dixon, 47 of Copperas Cove, got 16 yrs prison for tampering with evidence with intent to impair a human corpse; Joseph Michael
Rodriquez, 56 of Copperas Cove, got 2 yrs probation on a DWI charge; Dwayne Allen Dobbs, 57 of Lampasas, had a motion to adjudicate recalled; Dereck A. Cox, 24 of Lampasas, charged with criminal mischief, got 2 yrs deferred adjudication.
Going to Jury Trial cases included Allan Gary Bridges for aggravated kidnapping; Raynaldo Aleman for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; Fedencio Coronado will be back for sentencing in January for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child; Brandon Lee Young will be back on Friday for pre-trial for assault on a family member; and Michael James Allen of Lampasas will be back in February for assault with a deadly weapon.
Frank James Muns of Lampasas, charged with murder was announced ready for trial.
