The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Thursday shows a prowler report in the 700 block of Old Georgetown Rd at 1:59am. After daylight, at 8:17am, a theft was reported in the 500 block of S. Key and a suspicious person was reported near the Brown St. and E. 4th intersection at 8:42am.

The afternoon brought suspicious activity in the 600 block of E. Ave. F at 12:57pm, then fraud was reported in the 1300 block of Nix Rd. at 1:53pm. Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of N. Key at 4:41pm and in the 5pm hour there was a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of S. Key and criminal trespass in the 1500 block of S. Key a few minutes later.

Harassment in the 1400 block of S. Chestnut was the only evening report. That was at 10:42pm.

Copperas Cove Police report a train pedestrian fatality accident. The accident took place in Cove, by the 1200 block of FR 113 (W.Ave. B) just before 11am Thursday morning. The deceased was a pedestrian walking west on the tracks, away from the approaching train. (see feature story on front page.)

Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with a fairly quiet day while Kempner had an accident to work, along with a civil matter and a disturbance and a threats complaint. Out in the county there was a disturbance, a fish and game call and a civil matter in Cove.

The Jail log shows the County arrested a 62 yr old man for criminal trespass and making terroristic threats while a 29 yr old Cove man was arrested for probation violations and a 35 yr old Lampasas woman was picked up for violating a protective order.

The Burn Ban is lifted until Monday, Mar. 18th at 6pm.
