The Badger Varsity girls will be playing their first district game this Saturday at 10am at Salado. The game had originally been scheduled for Wednesday but weather pushed it to Saturday. 


The Badgers last outing saw them losing 0-9 to Llano in one of those nothing-went-right games. The team will be back on Badger Field Friday for a double-header with Caldwell. The first game will be at noon and the second following about 2:30pm. On Monday, they’ll be on the road to La Grange, then Friday, the 22nd, the team will go on the road to Taylor for the first district game.

The Taylor game, and all games from that point on, will be broadcast over KACQ 101.9FM and on the internet at Lampasas


Varsity Boys with Monday’s loss against Salado Badgers will finish 3rd in district with Salado 2nd and Liberty Hill 1st. The Varsity will finish their regular season next Tuesday 3/19 with senior night and parent’s night vs. Liberty Hill at 4 and 5:30pm.

JV Boys sits 7-1-1 in district after their picked up a win against Salado yesterday. If they beat Liberty Hill on the 19th they will be JV District Champions.

Varsity Girls have secured their spot in playoffs and are playoff bound.


Boys powerlifting won the Regional Championship for the third straight year this last weekend Jack Jerome and Preston Fox won their classes and will advance to the state powerlifting meet. The boys will head to Abilene on Saturday, March 23.

Basketball All District

As the roundballs got put up for the year, Coach Aaron Nuckles announced Lampasas’ All district honors.

1st Team honors went to senior Kolbe Penick.

2nd Team honors went to seniors Asiel Gary and Qadir Tolliver.

Honorable Mentions went to freshman Nate Borchardt and junior Brenton Webb.
