Basketball

 Varsity girls blew Eastside Memorial out of the water on Tuesday 73-5 win! After gaining a 20+ point lead in the first quarter every player was able to play in every quarter for the rest of the game. The Lady Badgers are on their way to playoffs for the 10th year in a row and finished 3rd their district season with a district record of 7-3 ad 28-6 for the season.

JV girls also had a great night of team work working in an amazing win of 53-4.

Varsity Boys had a great game Tuesday night against Eastside memorial leading to a 66-52 victory! Asiel Gary led the team in points scored (21) and rebounds (7). Qadir Tolliver wasn’t far behind with 4 rebounds. The team did an exceptional job of working together and communicating during the game. Freshman Nate Borchardt led the team in 3 pointers, while fellow teammate, senior Kolbe Penick topped the team off with 8 free throws.

The boys will be playing Salado tomorrow at Salado. Game times are JV 5pm and Varsity at 6:15

Soccer

Varsity Girls soccer are now 2-0 in District. Tuesday night they played Academy with a 1-0 win. The lone goal of the game was made by Cobie Chandler after Madi Walden and Winter Mendez helped get the ball down field and into the perfect scoring position.

The girls play an away tomorrow in Jarrell. 

Varsity Boys had a 3-0 win over Academy Tuesday. The boys’ soccer really started playing as a united team with the defense of Cook, Woods, Gutheridge, Hess, Bredeson, and Cisneroz coming together to keep Academy from scoring. The next game with be Tomorrow 7:30pm in Jarrell.

JV Boys also took home a victory Tuesday with a 2-0 win. An early score made by KJ Stephens set the intensity for the game. Chris Guzman also grabbed the other score for the game. The boys will be traveling to Jarrell tomorrow play their next game.

Baseball

Varsity boys

Tuesday night Ellison gained an early lead on the Lampasas Badgers, scoring the first run in the first inning, follow by 3 more runs in the 5th. The boys were able to score in the last 3 innings but could not catch up. Which led to Ellison capturing the win. The final score was 9-6 with the Badgers falling short. The boys will be playing at home against Kyle Lehman on Tomorrow with games starting 5:00.
