Terry Kennedy Young, 62 of Lampasas, passed away Feb. 1, 2019 during “chemo” in Scott & White, Temple, for stage 4 Lung Cancer. She was born in Dallas, May 22nd, 1956 and lived in Witchita Falls most of her life. She moved to Lampasas to join her loving husband in 1998. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Bethania Hospital and at the State Mental Hospital in Witchita Falls before moving to Lampasas and becoming a stay at home mom. She was active in the community, working as a substitute teacher and as the mainstay in the Young Farmers Association, holding many positions and helping insure scholarships for local youth.
Terri is survived by husband William Young of Lampasas; children, Robert and Ashley Mills of Lampasas, Amanda Young, David & Kristen Mills of South Korea, Melissa & Chris Moreno of Evant and Staci & Jonathon Hawkins of Raeford, NC; along with nine grandchildren, Kaleigh, Ellie, Jackson, Emeleigh, Madilyn, Wayne, Camden, Austin and Harper. She is preceded in death by parents, sister Diana Hooper, and father in law Lowell Young.
Terri’s body is being cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Terri was a loving mother & wife and will be remembered by all.
Carolyn (Boone) Brown, age 77 of Lampasas passed away January 31, 2019. Her Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 12 at 11am at New Covenant Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the church at 10am. A private burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
