The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Monday, which showed the New Year’s Eve activity, noted a disturbance in the 1000 block of E. Ave. F at 1:38am and an assault in the 800 block of N. Key at 9:35am. That assault call saw the arrest of a couple of Purcell OK men, one 27 and another 31 yrs of age. They were both charged with possession of a controlled substance. Another arrest, at 10:53am, saw Rex James Eicher, 42 of Lampasas, charged with assault in family violence and resisting arrest in the 1200 block of Old Convent Rd. Two other arrest took place, one on a 57 yr old local man for driving w/o a license and another on a 61 yr old local man for possession of a controlled substance. Both men were arrested in the 1700 block of CTE.

The blotter from Tuesday showed an arrest at 12:10am on a 36 yr old Lampasas man at Pecan and 3rd. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and had an outstanding local warrant. There was a reckless driver report from Hwy 281 N at 7:41am, a theft report came in at the police station about noon, and an assault took place in the 900 block of N Key at 9:35am. A forger was reported in the 800 block of N. Key at 10:59am.

The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa with a quiet holiday period while Kempner settled one disturbance and went out on a criminal mischief call. Out in the county, deputies worked on an accident, a criminal mischief call and went into the Cove city limits on a threats report and a disturbance.

The Jail log showed the arrest of a 47 yr old Evant woman on a Class C misc. offense.

The Burn Ban is lifted until Dec. 27th at 6pm.
