The Lampasas County Commissioners Court met Wednesday morning in a Called Session. This was the first Court meeting for 2019 and also the first for newly installed County Judge Randy Hoyer and Precinct 2 Commissioner Jamie Smart.
In their first action the Court approved payroll for January 10th, $120,100.52, estimated Payroll Taxes, $134,016.53, and Accounts Payable $94,077.69.
Next the courtroom was cleared for the Court to go into Executive Session to consider the appointment of Susie LaFuente as Interim County Auditor, effective January 1st, 2019, and to consider a compensation stipend for the Interim Auditor. Upon reconvening the Court unanimously approved an order appointing Ms. LaFuente as Interim Auditor and approved a stipend of $2,873.84 prorated over 26 payments until the appointment of a new County Auditor. There is now an open posting for the County Auditor position. The process is being handled through the District Court office where applications may be picked up.
