Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Friday showed a harassment report in the 500 block of S. Broad at 3:25am, otherwise a quiet early morning. At 10:05am a theft was reported in the 200 block of N. Broad and at 11:13am there was a suspicious person in the 800 block of W. 1st.
The afternoon brought an arrest in a family violence matter. Tammy Jo Guthrie, a 41 yr old Lampasas woman, was arrested at 1:58pm for assault on a family/household member with previous conviction, also on outstanding Travis and Elgin Co. warrants.
A reckless driver was in the 1700 block of CTE at 5:29pm, suspicious activity on Chestnut St at 7pm and forgery on Cameron Dr. at 7:15pm. There was a disturbance report in the 300 block of N. Park at 7:34pm and an accident at 8:35. That minor accident took place in the 900 block of N. Key with no injuries.
At10:42pm there was a theft report in the 1400 block of S. Key and at 11:48pm there was a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of N. Key Ave.
The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa had an accident and livestock calls, Kempner had a harassment, a fraud and civil matters, and out in the county the deputies worked a disturbance about 9:30pm and in the mid-afternoon an accident and a theft in Cove’s city limits. There were civil matters and minor evening matters.
The Jail Log showed the county arrested a 62 yr old Killeen man on a capias profine warrant and a 54 yr old Lampasas man on a commitment.
The Burn Ban is lifted until Sunday at 7pm. At that time it returns with no exceptions!
