The Friday Night Lights Will be On at Badger Field Tonight

The Badgers have their second game outing tonight with a kickoff at Badger Stadium at 7:30pm. The 1-0 Badgers take on 0-1 Lago Vista.

Preceding the game there will be the Football Sweetheart ceremony at 7pm.

Few first-game stats appear to be available for the teams Lampasas is playing this season, but we’d be surprised if Badger QB Ace Whitehead wouldn’t be among the list-toppers after last week’s 56-29 win over Joshua.

Tonight’s opponent, the Lago Vista will be hungry for a win after their disappointing loss to Blanco last week. They did not do a good job of getting, or keeping, the ball. Lago only ran 40 plays to Blanco’s 62. They simply couldn’t convert first downs and had just over half as much possession time as Blanco.

The Badger’s strong suit is an outstanding sophomore QB in Whitehead, combined with plenty of depth in his receiver corps. That, added to a big and talented up front to give the QB time to find his receivers.

Down the road for the Badger team are some tough games with the likes of district teams like Liberty Hill, and our Badgers are getting ready.

We hope you make it to the game, but if you can’t, tune in to 1450AM for the Darrell Brooks/Kenny Murray game broadcast. It’s also on the internet at lampasasradio.com or at mixlr.com/lampasasradio1.
