Badger Varsity Football will play this evening at 7:30pm in Badger Stadium, up against Lago Vista.

The Badgers beat Joshua last week by a big 56-29 score. Badger fans are hoping for another big win this week.

The game will be broadcast live over KCYL Radio at 1450AM and also on the internet at www.mixlr.com/lampasasradio1 or at www.lampasasradio.com . (go to the listen live menu)

The Badger Freshmen team beat Lago Vista in a close one, 34-30 on Thursday.

The first Middle School football game will be on Sept. 13th at Lorena, with the rolling start games beginning at 4:30pm.

Badger Tennis wins at Taylor. The team took a 14-5 win over Taylor on Wednesday, making them 8-2 so far in pre-district play. They have one more outing this week, heading to Robinson on Saturday for matches with Robinson at 8am and Palestine at 11am.

After that, next week they play always tough Liberty Hill in the district opener at 3:30pm in Lampasas.

Volleyball

The Lady Badger Varsity Volleyball is off this week with the next games against Bangs on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Lady Badger 9th and JV Volleyball is in a Salado tournament thru Saturday – no score reports yet.

Middle School Volleyball was at Fredericksburg Thursday, no score reports are in yet.

Badger Cross Country was at the Midway Invitational in Waco this morning, there were 22 teams in the girls divisions and 17 teams in the boys divisions. Our JV boys placed 2nd, Varsity boys 3rd, Varsity girls came in 4th, and JV girls finished 7th.  Many runners set personal records.

Middle School Cross Country last week at San Saba brought home hardware. In the 7th grade girls there were 107 runners and Juanita took 12th Place with Aspen Wheeler in 14th.

In the 8th grade girls of 86 runners, Sarah Santini took 8th Place and D.J. Ramirez took 11th.

In the 7th/8th grade boys division with 94 runners Jose Parra came in 2nd, Alex Flores came in 9th and Kaleb Roberts came in 15th.

All in all, the 7th grade girls team was 3rd , the 8th grade girls took a 3rd, and the 7th grade boys team took 3rd.
