Lots of September Upcomings in the Area

Sept 7th, Friday, from 11am to 1pm – A Ribbon Cutting for Mills Co. State Bank. It’s at their 107 S. Key location.

Same Day, at 1pm on Friday, the Chamber will be at West Oaks Living Center for another Ribbon Cutting.

Sept 10th – Badgers Connect from 6-7:30pm at Lampasas High School. A time for families to connect with LHS staff to discuss ideas, goals and concerns.

Also on Sept. 10th, the Chamber of Commerce will have its Thrive at Five Member Mixer at Putters and Gutters Fun Center at 5:30pm. (for chamber members).

Sept. 22nd – The Indian Artifact, Gem and Mineral Show will be at the Lampasas Co. Livestock Barn from 9am to 4pm. Explore the world of indian artifacts, gems and minerals. There’ll be a $5 entry fee for the public. For info call 512-556-7207.

Also… Copperas Cove is having their 2nd annual Food Truck Festival on Saturday, Sept. 22nd from 6pm to 10pm in the City Park, located at 1206 W Avenue B.

Sept. 29th – The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce is having a Wine Tour on Sat., Sept. 29 with tastings at Fiesta Winery, Pillar Bluff, Torr Na Lochs Vineyard and Winery, Texas Legato and the KFire Winery. Attendees need to arrive at the Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center at 8am that morning for breakfast and a reception, then get on the bus by 9am for the tour. It will return about 5pm. Tickets are $75 each, call the chamber office at 512-556-5172 for information.

Looking forward to October… in addition to the Fall Fest event on Courtyard Square, the Artober Fest has been planned for the Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden. Last year the event was called the Herb & Art Fest Jamin’ with Art in the Park. This year it’s Artober Fest and should be big from 10am to 5pm. They are currently inviting vendors to apply for spaces.
