There was a fraud report in the 7800 block of CR2901 at 11:53am.

The afternoon brought a reckless driver report on CTE at 2:18pm and there was a runaway report on Alexander Ln. at 3:22pm. At 3:57pm public intoxication was reported in the 1000 block of FM 580E. An assault by threat was reported in the 800 block of N. Ridge at 4:06pm and a criminal trespass was reported in the 800 block of S. Key at 5:23pm. Back to the 1000 block of FM 580E and public intoxication. There was an arrest at 5:36pm on a 72 yr old man for public intoxication there. Finally, a theft was reported in the 400 block of S. Pecan at 5:48pm.

In the evening there was an arrest on a 30 yr old Lampasas man in the 100 block of E. North Ave. at 10:56pm. He was charged with driving with an invalid license and finally, at 11:45pm, a runaway was reported in the 300 block of N. Park.   

Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa had a quiet day and Kempner worked a couple of civil matters, worked a fraud case, animal complaints, and there was a fire. Out in the county, deputies worked two accidents, a runaway report, a civil matter, and were sent to Copperas Cove to respond to an alarm and an animal complaint.

DPS Reports: Trooper Robbie Barrera reports that an accident involving a pickup and a passenger car took place Wednesday afternoon on Hwy 29 at Jack Nicklaus Blvd. That is the stretch of Highway 29 that goes by the Sun City retirement community near Georgetown. The report indicates that the two people in the passenger car were killed.

The Burn Ban in Lampasas Co. is lifted until Sunday at 7pm.
