Badger Varsity Football (2-1) will be back on the road on Friday at La Vernia(3-0) for a 7:30pm start in their 4th game of the season.

Badger 9th and JV teams will host La Vernia on Thursday 9/20, with games at 5:30 and 7pm.

Badger Tennis

Badger Tennis will host Burnet in their second, and last, district match on Thursday at 4pm. After this one they will continue play with area teams up to mid October when it will be time for playoffs.  

Cross Country 

Badger Cross Country will be at Salado for the Invitational at Tenroc Ranch at 8am on Thursday, 9/20.

On Saturday, 9/22, the Varsity team will be at A&M Corpus Christi for the Islander Splash meet at 8am.

LMS Cross Country will be at Lometa’s Regional Park for a 4pm start this afternoon.

Badger Volleyball

LHS Badger Volleyball, traveled to Early yesterday for their last preseason game before district play begins.

The 9th grade team started it off right with a straight set win 25-19, 25-16.

The JV went three but came off winners too. It was 25-12, 22-25, 25-20 for the win.

The Varsity team didn’t have such good fortune, losing 18-25, 15-25 and 22-25. In that Varsity match Sena Kucukkarca had two aces and Emma Cornish had 9 kills.

Starting on Friday, 9/21, the teams will be playing all district games with the first competition at Salado.

LMS Volleyball was at Salado on Monday. Coach Wright’s 8B team took it to game 3 but fell short there 13-15. She says things are falling into place with her girls.

Coach Wiley’s 8A team lost in two straight but “played their best match of the season” she says. She pointed out that Emily Cain was “all over the court” and that Payton Tatum had a great night at the serve line.

Coach Leopold was happy to report a win in straight sets over Salado, 25-15 and 25-20. “We controlled the momentum and played awesome volleyball.”

Coach Hurst also reported a win with her 7B team, 25-18 and 25-21. “They hustled around the court and did some great things.”
