Badger Football

Badger Varsity Football will go on the road again on Friday, 9/21, at La Vernia. Lampasas is 2-1, La Vernia 3-0. Both teams have outstanding QBs and receivers, both teams are big 2nd quarter scorers so we’d look for the action on Friday to come out early.

La Vernia has QB Clayton Chadwick (#18) who has averaged about 240 yards passing per game up to last Friday. In rushing they have junior Diego Mendoza who averaged 121 yards up to Friday. The well-balanced Bears team will be a real test for the Badgers. They have dominated all three teams they played with big points.

The game will have 7:30pm start in La Vernia.

Badger 9th and JV teams will host La Vernia on Thursday 9/20, with games at 5:30 and 7pm.

LMS football will be at home this coming week, hosting Brownwood on Wednesday, 9/19 in Badgers stadium with rolling starts beginning at 4:30pm with the 7th B teams, then 7A, 8B and 8A.

Badger Tennis

Badger Tennis will host Burnet in their second, and last,  district match on Thursday at 4pm. After this one they will continue play with area teams up to mid October when it will be time for playoffs.   

Cross Country  

Badger Cross Country will be at Salado for the Invitational at Tenroc Ranch at 8am on Thursday, 9/20.

On Saturday, 9/22, the Varsity team will be at A&M Corpus Christi for the Islander Splash meet at 8am.

LMS Cross Country will be at Lometa’s Regional Park for a 4pm start on Tuesday 9/18.

Badger Volleyball

The Varsity and JV teams played Rapoport Academy on Friday, and both JV and Varsity teams won in straight sets.

Badger Volleyball will be at Early on Tuesday 9/18 for all teams play, at 4, 5 and 6pm.

On Sept. 21, district play begins with the teams at Salado for play at 5,5 and 6pm.

LMS Volleyball will be at Salado for their district play start on Monday, 9/17. The 7A and 8B will play at 4:30pm amd the 8A and 7B will play at 5:30pm.

Golf action in Lampasas takes place today from 1 to 6pm at Hancock Park with the Area Go Texas 3-person tournament. It’s the 4th year of the tournament here which raises funds for the local Go Texan scholarship fund.
