Badger Football

Badger Varsity Football won big again on Friday 42-7 over Lago Vista. It was the same story, with the Badgers offense continuing to go over and through their opponent’s defense to score big. The vast majority of that scoring came from the Badger passing game connection between QB Ace Whitehead and his crew of receivers, especially slot back Cameron Everts who scored 4 of the game’s TDs.

The Badgers will head to Lorena this Friday with a 7:30pm start for the Badger’s third gridiron test.

Badger 9th and JV teams will host Lorena on Thursday 9/13  with games at5:30 and 7pm.

LMS football will be at Lorena on Thursday 9/13 for their first game with rolling starts at 4:30pm.

Badger Tennis

Badger Tennis was at Robinson on Saturday and won the match 17-2, easily dominating overall. After a short break they went on to play Palestine.

The Badger teams gave as good as they got but because of having to forfeit the mixed doubles they wound up being down 3-4 in doubles.

The singles was a different matter. Though Dwamena lost to the strong Palestine opponent, Dunning was up next and won easily, as did Beavers, but Aguirre and Salvato lost, putting the Badgers down 5-7. Then Claussen won, as did Belanger and Green, Gonzalez and Allan, Neary and Lampen. The Badgers win 12-7.

This puts the Badger Tennis team at 10-2 going into their first district match with Liberty Hill. Coach Peiser says it should be a very close match as the Panthers have a senior heavy team with lots of experience.

Lampasas hosts, with the match getting started at 3:30pm.
