Lampasas Police blotter for Wednesday showed a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of hwy 281 S at 12;44am, then a suspicious person in the 1700 block of CTE at 7:07am. A burglary of a business was reported in the 400 block of E. 3rd at 10:27am.
The afternoon brought a theft report in the 1100 block of E. Ave. F at 1:45pm and a burglary of a vehicle in the 500 block of N. Ridge at 2:08pm. Another burglary of a business was reported in the 400 block of E. 3rd at 4:32pm.
The evening brought a harassment report in the 800 block of S. Live Oak at 7:38pm, and another burglary, this one on a habitation in the 1300 block of E. 4th at 7:41pm.
At 9:13pm Joseph Eric Sutton, 41 of Lampasas, was arrested in the 800 block of E. Ave. C for violation of a protective order, assault causing bodily injury-family member enhanced, and on a county warrant from criminal mischief.
There was a suspicious person report in the 500 block of College at 11:35pm and a reckless driver in the 1100 block of E. 4th at 11:53pm.
Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with an assault, animal complaint and worked a fraud case. Kempner settled a disturbance, cleared a wreck, worked a civil matter and a few animal complaints.
In between traffic stops, County deputies responded to an alarm, a couple of civil matters and were sent out to Cove on a burglary in progress and few medical calls.
The Burn Ban is on in Lampasas and surrounding counties and even though rain comes…unless it is a lot, don’t look for much relief from the bans in Central Texas
