Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed lots of calls, starting with a prowler report in the 900 block of N. Hackberry at 12:27am, a minor accident in the 400 block of N. Arnold at 2:33am, a suspicious person in the 400 block of S. Pecan at 9:47am, harassment reported on Snell Dr. at 10:30am, another minor accident, this one in the 800 block of W. 6th at 10:35am, a theft reported in the 400 block of S. Pecan at 11:20am, and two reports on a suspicious person in the 700 block of S. Live Oak at noon.
The afternoon brought a fraud report from Ramsey Lane at 12:19pm, then back to the 700 block of S. Live Oak when a burglary of a vehicle was reported there at 1:40pm. A theft was also reported in the 500 block of E. 3rd at 3:31pm. A reckless driver was on N. Key at 3:52pm and a suspicious person in the 100 block of S. Key at 4:25pm. There was another minor accident in the 500 block of E. 4th at 4:30pm.
The evening brought a report of drug paraphernalia in the 1500 block of W. 1st at 9:24pm, then an arrest at 9:50pm in the 1700 block of CTE. A 58 yr old Lampasas man was charged with criminal trespass. The evening’s calls were over at 10pm with a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Casbeer.
Lampasas Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa had a runaway report and an animal complaint. Kempner was dispatched on a theft, a civil matter, an animal complaint and a burglary. Out in the county, deputies cleared a wreck, checked on suspicious persons, assisted on a fish and game call and also on a medical assist in Cove’s city limits.
Arrested was a 19 yr old Rochester MN woman on multiple controlled substance charges and for possession of marijuana.
The Burn Ban continues for Lampasas and all bordering counties as dry pastures and heat have brought lots of fuel for wildfires that are still a threat for the area.
