There was a small grassfire of about 6 acres at Killeen that broke out on Sunday afternoon about 3:40pm according to one report. It took place south of Stan Schlueter Blvd. on Bunny Trail on the south side of town. The Killeen Daily Herald reporter on the scene said is spread several blocks before being brought under control about 4:30pm by Killeen firefighters.
Another Central Texas fire that was extinguished on Sunday took place in Bosque County. It was 130 acres and quick work by firemen there had it all out by 7pm last evening.
