Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Saturday showed a 1:17am loud music report from the 900 block of N. Key. A couple of minutes later a 48 yr old Copperas Cove man was arrested in the 600 block of S. Arnold for DWI with an open container.

At 1:45am a suspicious person was reported in the 1000 block of W. 6th, and at 2:45am a disturbance was reported in the 800 block of S. Key. At 3:43 am a suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of E. Ave. A. The last morning call was a 9:33am when a suspicious act was reported around W. Ave E and N. Walnut St.

The afternoon brought a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Old Georgetown Rd., at 12:36pm, another disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Ohnmeiss at 1:36pm, and the last call of the day was at 11:08pm when a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the 500 block of S. Broad.

Sunday’s Blotter showed a 12:19am DWI arrest in the 100 block of W. Ave. D. Arrested was a 33 yr old Temple man. He was also charged with speeding. It was a busy early morning as there was an accident call at 1:16am in the 300 block of Sunrise Hills Dr.. There were no injuries, but there was one arrest in the incident. A 53 yr old Lampasas man was charged with DWI, and for endangering/abandoning a child, with intent to return.

After the early morning incidents, the afternoon brought an assault report in the 900 block of N. Hackberry at 1:51pm, then a harassment in the 1300 block of CTE at 3:34pm. At 4:49pm there was a reckless driver report in the 3000 block of N. Hwy 281.


Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa had a quiet Saturday, and a few livestock issues and an abandoned vehicle on Sunday. Kempner also had a quiet weekend with a citizen assist, a traffic stop and a disturbance call. Out in the county there were numerous civil matters, traffic stops and calls about suspicious activity.

The Jail Log shows a 21 yr old Belton man arrested for DWI, a 23 yr old Florence resident on a bond revocation, a 24 yr old Lampasas man on a bond revocation, a 46 yr old Kempner man on a commitment charge, and a 46 yr old Lampasas man for DWI w/ open container.  Kendell Ciraso, 18 of Lampasas was brought in on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 1-4 grams, and Veronica Eriksen, 19 was also arrested for Possession of  a Controlled Substance, PG 1 1-4 grams as well as a paraphernalia charge.

The Burn Ban is on in Lampasas and all surrounding counties.  Don’t be the next one who starts a disastrous wildfire that endangers lives and properties.

Lampasas Co. Clerk Connie Hartmann reports that the County Court Jury Trial scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7th has been cancelled. Those with jury summons can disregard.
