The Burn Ban is on in Lampasas and all surrounding counties. Central Texas has been the victim of numerous wildfires, many of which were caused by seemingly harmless actions such as burning trash in a burn barrel or using a welder or grinder. Others were caused by simply riding an ATV through dry grass or by a trailer chain dragging the ground. Please don’t do anything within the area of dry grass that will cause a spark.
