Texas Sales Tax Revenue Up Again in July

When all the businesses in Texas turned in their sales tax collections in July (for previous sales, mostly in June), the total came to $2.74 Billion. According to Glen Hegar, the Texas Comptroller, that is 6.9% more than in July of 2017. Other tax collections came from motor vehicle sales and rental taxes, taxes on motor fuel and oil and gas production taxes. Add it all up… the State of Texas is doing very well financially.
