The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed an early morning 12:36am arrest at Northington and Standifer. A 19 yr old male was charged with possession of marijuana.

At 2:39am a suspicious person was reported in the 1400 block of S. Key and another “suspicious” report came from the 2200 block of Teton at 6:24am.

Another arrest came at 9:58am when a 38 yr old Buckholts man, Joseph Raymond Shanks, was charged with possession of a PG1 controlled substance over a gram, a PG2 substance over a gram, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Another arrest came when 17 yr old male, Storm Hamilton of Lampasas, was arrested at 11:58am  in the 400 block of W. 5th for burglary of a building.

A theft was reported in the 2700 block of Hwy 281S at 5:19pm and one more arrest took place about 10pm in the 500 block of N. Key for having inhalant paraphernalia. Arrested was a 30 yr old female from Copperas Cove.

Lampasas Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa had a quiet day. Kempner had livestock issues, a civil matter, an alarm and a warrant to serve. Out in the county, deputies had animal complaints including an animal bite, a civil matter and a suspicious person.

The Burn Ban continues for Lampasas and bordering counties and there are no exceptions and no special permits or permissions to do outside burning!
