The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Saturday showed early morning suspicious activities on the 200 block of Water St. and 100 block of Ohnmeiss. There was a Saturday morning burglary report in the 1400 block of Hwy 281S.

Saturday afternoon there was a reckless driver on the 1700 block of CTE and criminal mischief in the 2100 block of Teton Ave. at 12:29pm. A suspicious vehicle report came from the 800 block of N. Ridge at 3:39pm and one minor accident took place in the 1700 block of CTE.

One evening criminal mischief took place in the 400 block of S. Pecan and one arrest took place at 10:48pm when a traffic stop found a 41 yr old Lampasas man to be driving with an invalid license in the 600 block of E. 4th.  

Sunday’s Blotter showed a runaway report from the 1300 block of CTE at midnight, then a 2:30am reckless driver report came from the 100 block of W. 9th. Harassment took place in the 1600 block of E. Ave I at  6:19am.  A missing person report came from the 1000 block of E. FM 580 at 11:59am.

In the evening a traffic stop arrest took place at 7:12pm in the 100 block of Ohnmeiss when a 43 yr old Point Venture woman was arrested for driving with an invalid license. At 8:12pm harassment was reported in the 500 block of S. Walnut. There was a disturbance report from the 1300 block of CTE at 10:26pm and there was suspicious activity in the 1200 block of CTE at 11:25pm.

Lampasas Animal Control reports: A Mexican Free Tail Bat found in Lampasas Aug. 17th in the area of 3rd and Liveoak was tested and found to have Rabies.

 On Aug. 23rd police found that a raccoon in the 200 block of E. Ave. D had Rabies.

You are reminded that your pets must have current rabies vaccinations. You must also make sure that you do not touch

any sick, injured, or strange acting animal. Keep your pets away from any suspicious animal and always call your animal control at Lampasas P.D. to report them. Let Animal Control take care of it!


Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with  a suicidal call. Kempner worked a fraud case, settled a disturbance and went out on a noise complaint.

Out in the county deputies were dispatched out on a couple of alarms, shots fired call, fish and game call and cleared a wreck.

The jail log 42 yr. old San Saba man on an out of county charge, a 24 yr. old Lometa Man for possession of marijuana, and an Austin man, 60 yrs. Of age for Driving with an invalid license with a previous conviction.

 

The Burn Ban is still on in Lampasas Co. as of this morning.
