Badger Football wrapped up its scrimmage action Friday night in Elgin, outscoring Elgin 5 TDs to 2.                                                                                                                                            The Badgers’ left-handed sophomore QB Ace Whitehead is working with about six possible receivers this year with seniors Nick Olivarez and Owen Davis; juniors Cameron Everts, Jaylon Porter, Clayton Beaver and sophomore Michael Murray.  It should be an exciting season with the Badgers facing off with 5A Joshua for their first game in Badger Stadium at 7:30pm Friday.

The prognosticators pick Lampasas to be near the bottom of the heap with Burnet and Liberty Hill at the top but make no mistake, the Badger passing game will be scary for any team to face this year.

The Freshmen/JV teams will play Joshua on Thursday at Joshua at 5:30/7pm.

Badger Tennis was back in form on Friday, at the top of their game, winning over large schools. They went to 6A Pflugerville’s courts and came away 13-6 winners.

The performances of the 2018/19 tennis team to date seem to indicate that the team may do-it-again and be one of the strongest teams in Central Texas High School Tennis.

They play Brownwood, there on Thursday.

Volleyball will be at home on Tuesday against Lago Vista with games at 5,5, and 6pm.

Cross Country will run at the Pro-fit Invitational at Wilson Park in Temple on Friday, Aug. 31st at 8am.
