Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Thursday showed a suspicious person report in the 200 block of N. Key at 1;34am. A suspicious vehicle report came from the 600 block of N. Ridge at 4:34am, a theft report came from the 1700 block of CTE at 8:11am, and a disturbance in the 300 block of N. Key at 8:21am. The 10am hour brought a theft report from the 900 block of S. Howe and a suspicious vehicle in the 2300 block of FM580W.
The afternoon brought a suspicious vehicle report from the 100 block of Ohnmeiss at 12:14pm and another call from the 2300 block of W. FM 580 reported a suspicious person at 3:23pm. At 4:22pm a suspicious vehicle call came from the 600 block of E. 3rd and at the same time a
disorderly conduct report came from the 100 block of Ohnmeiss.
The 6pm hour brought a suspicious person report from the 1200 block of S. Western and then an arrest in the 900 block of S. Key where a 37 yr old Lampasas man was picked up on a motion to adjudicate from an old burglary of a habitation charge and capias warrants on traffic matters.
At 8:45pm there was a disturbance in the 500 block of S. Walnut that turned into an assault report later. There was a disturbance report from the 500 block of S. Walnut.
Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with a quiet day other than some traffic stops. Kempner officers had some animal complaints, a disturbance and calls on a suspicious person and threats. Out in the county, deputies had some animal complaints, a harassment call and went into Copperas Cove on a harassment call.
The jail log shows the county arrested a 20 yr old Pflugerville man on a bond revocation.
The Burn Ban is on in Lampasas and all surrounding counties. The wind is expected to be higher this weekend and along with high temperatures, wildfire danger could increase considerably.
