Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed a 12:23am suspicious person in the 200 block of S. Race, a public intoxication report in the 500 block of S. Pecan at 2:36am and another suspicious person report in the 200 block of N. Key at 2:51am.
Daylight brought a shots fired report from the 1500 block of E. 3rd at 8:42am and a burglary of a vehicle report in the 100 block of N. Broad at 9:37am. A forgery was reported in the 600 block of S. Arnold at 9:51am. A reckless driver was reported on CTE at 11:27am.
The afternoon brought a 3:27pm harassment report in the 1700 block of Taylor St. There was a minor accident in the 1800 block of S. Hwy 281 at 3:36pm, then a suspicious vehicle report in the 100 block of Campbell at 4:01pm. A theft was reported in the 1700 block of CTE at 4:17pm and there was another minor, no injuries, accident around 4:30pm in the 200 block of N. Key.
The evening brought an 8pm arrest in the 300 block of W. 3rd St where a 59 yr old homeless man was picked up for walking in the roadway where a sidewalk was provided. Later in the evening, at 11:16pm, there was a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of S. Walnut.
Lampasas Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa had a quiet day. Kempner had an animal complaint. Out in the county, deputies worked multiple civil matters, a robbery case, a fraud case, a suicidal call, and they went into the Cove city limits on an alarm, a medical call and a fish and game call.
The Burn Ban continues for Lampasas and bordering counties as dry grass and brush, still damp from weekend rains, will dry out fast with the current afternoon heat and sunshine.
