Funeral services were being held this morning at 10am for local rancher and dairy farmer Charley Wright Isom.
Services were at the Lampasas First United Methodist Church.
Charley passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16th at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. The charismatic Charley Isom had been born and raised in Brownwood, graduated from Tarleton State and had married the local Becky Klose. After a short stint as an Ag teacher in Georgia, Charley and Becky moved to Lampasas and joined the Klose family’s Dairy business.
They raised two sons, Trampus and Pepper Isom and saw them marry and bring three grandchildren into the family. Charley is survived by Becky and their sons, the three grandchildren, as well as six brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Charlie’s body will be cremated and his friends and family will remember him well.
