Lampasas Police blotter for Wednesday showed a 5:58am early morning report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 200 block of E. 2nd St. Later, at 10:20am, a parking complaint in the 700 block of S. Key.

The afternoon brought a theft report in the 1700 block of CTE at 12:37pm and at 12:39 there was a report of lost property in the 400 block of S. Live Oak. A fraud was reported in the 300 block of N. Howe at 4:14pm and a reckless driver was on S. Hwy 281 at 5:21pm. A disturbance was reported in the 800 block of N. Ridge at 6:14pm and one arrest was made at 7:43pm.

A 21 yr old Lampasas male was arrested in the 300 block of E. FM 580 for possession of marijuana and for unlawful carrying of a weapon.

At 11:14pm, a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of S. Key. 

Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with a medical call while Kempner was busier with a couple of accidents, a fraud case, a civil matter and a sex offense. Out in the county, deputies were dispatched on a theft report, an alarm, an animal complaint, and went into Copperas Cove on another accident and a report of a suspicious person.

The Burn Ban is on in Lampasas and surrounding counties and with no rainfall, even if temperatures are a few degrees cooler, we have to avoid using burn barrels, dropping cigarette butts on the ground, welding, using grinders and other such things. They cause wildfires!

Lampasas County Court announced that the jury trial set for Aug. 7th in County Court has been cancelled. Those with Jury Summons can disregard them.
