Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Thursday showed a suspicious vehicle report in the 400 block of E. Ave F at 5:26am and otherwise a quiet morning.
The afternoon brought a complaint of harassment in the 1500 block of S. Main at 1:20pm, then a reckless driver report on N. Key at 4:14pm. There was a suspicious person reported in the 1700 block of CTE at 5:48pm, and the last log note on the day was an arrest on warrants.
At 6:10pm in the 5800 block of E. Hwy 190, a 29 yr old Killeen man was arrested on 8 Lampasas municipal warrants for various traffic violations and failure to appear.
Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with a disturbance and Kempner officers checked an alarm, worked an accident, investigated a theft and checked on suspicious person reports. Out in the county deputies made traffic stops, worked livestock issues and went into Copperas Cove on another accident.
The jail log showed a 27yr old Kyle man for possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.
Burnet Sheriff’s Office reports that, on Tuesday, their officers assigned to the Heart of Texas Auto Theft Task Force located the 2005 Mazda Tribute
owned by the missing 40 yr old Tina Logan(right). We had earlier reported on the missing woman, last seen on April 2nd.
Now, we learn that her Mazda was located on unoccupied property in rural NW Burnet Co. A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of skeletal remains. They’ve transported the remains to the University of North Texas examination may reveal a positive investigation. That may take weeks to determine. The Sheriff’s Office notes that, until a positive ID is received, the investigation into Tina Logan’s disappearance continues and they are still seeking information at 512-756-8080.
The Texas DPS reminds out readers to be careful. With school back in session, there are both walking students and buses on their routes. It is against the law to pass a stopped school bus - loading or unloading students.
