Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed a theft reported at 8:15am on Caprice Ln. 

More problems in the afternoon with a burglary of a building reported in the 1100 block of E. Ave. F at 1:21pm. A domestic disturbance was reported on Skyline Dr. at 2:32pm.

An arrest was made at 7:09pm in the 1300 block of E. 4th St. A Lampasas man, 51 yrs of age, was charged on a Lampasas Municipal Court Warrant for theft of property under $100 and for public intoxication.

A suspicious person was reported at 11:59pm in the 500 block of S. Broad St.


 Lampasas Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa had an animal complaint and livestock issues and was dispatched on a sex offense. Kempner officers worked a civil matter and a suicidal incident. Out in the county, deputies responded to a robbery, several civil matters, a fish and game call and they were dispatched into Copperas Cove’s city limits on an animal bite.

The jail log shows that, at 3pm Tuesday, they booked a 24 yr old Kempner man, Zachary Michael Porter, on a charge of sexual assault of a child. One other arrest was on a 21 yr old Lampasas man on a commitment matter.

Burnet Sheriff’s Office reports a missing person. Tina Marie Logan, a 40 yr old woman, (right)has been missing since April 2nd at about 10am at a tire shop on Hwy 29 in Burnet. The case is getting renewed interest and publicity since the missing woman

hasn’t showed up for 4 months now. Logan is about 5’ 1” and about 200 lbs with green eyes and brown hair. She has a scar on her right shin and tattoos on her upper back, left wrist, left index finger and right ankle. She has a sleeve tattoo from her right shoulder to her elbow. She was last seen driving a 2005 Mazda SUV with a pink and silver skull decal in the left corner of the back window. If anyone knows anything, they should call the Burnet Sheriff’s Office at 512-756-8080.   

The Burn Ban continues for Lampasas and all bordering counties as dry grass and brush, still damp from weekend rains, will dry out fast with the current afternoon heat and sunshine.
