Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Monday showed a disturbance at 12:57am in the 1100 block of W. 1st, then a suspicious act at 9:38am in the 900 block of N. Ridge.
The afternoon report was busier, starting with a reckless driver on S. Hwy 281 a couple minutes before 1pm and a disturbance in the 1100 block of W. 1st a couple minutes after. At 1:14pm there was a suspicious vehicle on Dana Dr. and at 2:12pm a minor accident took place in the 100 block of Ohnmeiss with no injuries. At 4;21pm another minor crash took place in the 800 block of E. Ave. I., then domestic disturbances were reported, one at 4:26pm in the 1100 block of E. Ave F and another in the 1100 block of Nix Rd. at 4:58pm. At the Nix Rd. location a few minutes later a 59 yr old Lampasas man was arrested and charged with failure to appear on a possession of a PG1 substance.
A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of S. Key and Ohnmeiss at 6:24pm and found property was reported in the 300 block of S. Broad at 6:40pm.
The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa with animal problems, a fish and game call and an illegal burning incident. Kempner officers worked some civil matters, an alarm, an accident and were dispatched on a suicide call.
Out in the county deputies worked on an accident, a disturbance and some civil matters, then were dispatched into the Copperas Cove city limits on a suicide call.
The jail log shows the county arrested a 44 yr old Lometa woman on a failure to appear charge and a 32 yr old Lampasas man on a parole violation.
The Burn Ban continues to be in force in Lampasas and all of its surrounding counties and Fire Chief Oestreich tells us it is likely to stay that way, even with the recent rains.
