Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Saturday showed two arrests. The first one occurred at 1:30am when a 24 yr old Lampasas man was arrested in the 100 block of N. Key for DWI at 1:30am. After that a noise disturbance report came from the 600 block of Briggs at 2:41am and at daybreak a reckless driver was reported in the 900 block of N. Key at 7:16am. A minor accident took place in the 600 block of N. Key at 7:21am with no injuries.
The afternoon saw another fender bender in the 100 block of E. Ave. C at 12:23pm, then a theft report in the 700 block of N. Key at 3:06pm and a burglary of a vehicle in the 200 block of Riverview at 6:06pm.
At 6:14pm, 54yr old Kenneth Alan Cornwell of Lampasas was arrested in the 100 block of S. Willis on a county warrant for probation violation on a manufacture or delivery of a PG1 controlled substance over 4 grams. Afterward, a disturbance and a harassment report came from the 1300 block of CTE around 11pm.
The Sunday blotter showed an arrest of a 46 yr old Lampasas man at 3:09am in the 100 block of Ohnmeiss for public intoxication, then a 5:13am suspicious vehicle in the 2200 block of Teton Ave.
At 1pm a suspicious act was reported in the 100 block of Ohnmeiss and a 23 yr old Austin man was arrested at about the same time in the 100 block of W. 6th for DWI.
The evening saw a suspicious act report from the 100 block of E. 1st, then a reckless driver report from E. Hwy 190 at 10:05pm. At 10:36pm a 33 yr old Copperas Cove man was arrested for driving with a suspended license at E. 4th and Taylor and at 11:48pm a theft report came from the 400 block of W. 5th.
Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter for the weekend shows Lometa with an animal bite, a fraud case and an alarm. Kempner worked a civil matter, harassment, a disturbance, and were dispatched on a suicidal call. Out in the county, deputies worked some accidents, civil matters and animal complaints. They also worked a sex offense and there was a fish and game call.
The jail log showed a 34 yr old Copperas Cove man arrested on a possession of marijuana charge.
The Burn Ban is still on in Lampasas County. Unless, and until that is changed by a county order, it is still illegal to burn or do anything that could start a fire in this county
