Yesterday’s high was 96° This morning’s low 76° As of 7am this morning most of the rain had stayed west of Lampasas, from San Saba on to the west. There was a fair rain of about ½ inch at Lometa but almost nothing in Lampasas gauges. Farther west at Richland Springs there was well over 2 in. by 7am. But, all of that will hopefully change as Lampasas still has a good chance of rainfall today.
Today: Showers and thunderstorms, a 70% chance, are in our forecast, along with a high near 90° and N-NW wind around 5 mph.
Tonight: Still a 50% chance of rain overnight, along with a low of about 72° and the light N-NE wind of 5-10 mph will be turning south.
Saturday: A 50% chance of rain and mostly cloudy, with a high near 87° and SW wind 5 mph.
Overnight, the rain chances may get better, up to 60%, as the temperature gets down to 73° with light S-SE wind.
The long range forecast: Sunday will bring a 60% chance of rain and a high of only 87° with light south wind. That rain chance will get up to 70% according to the forecast on Sunday night. The forecast calls for the rain chance to decrease on Monday, then it will all be gone by Tuesday and August weather will return.
Remember, Lampasas is still under stage 1 water conservation rules. If you water a lawn, do it in the evening or early morning, before sunup if possible.
