A trip to downtown Lampasas would show anyone that there is an Election going on. The signs are big and very noticeable near the Early Voting Election Office on the east side of Courtyard Square. Inside the County Election Office, employees are busy checking credentials and allowing voters onto the voting terminals.
On Wednesday, day 3 of the Early Voting, there were 333 voters coming in to vote and another ballot came by mail. In three days of early voting now, the total number of votes cast is 1,341. There are still two more days, counting today, for voters to cast early ballots. If the current rate of Early Voting continues, we are on track to match the total of 1,927 that voted early in the March Primary Election.
