Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Monday showed the 1am arrest of a 29 yr old Laguna, New Mexico woman in the 1500 block of S. Key. Amanda Nicole Mejia was charged with possession of over 2 oz of marijuana and possession of over 4 grams but under 400 grams of a PG2 controlled substance. A PG2 substance is generally a hallucinogenic substance such as Ecstasy, PCP or mescaline. The PG2 charge is a 2nd Degree Felony that could bring 2-20 yrs in prison.
Another arrest was made in the 2500 block of S. Key at 12:47pm. A 25 yr old Killeen woman was charged with driving with an invalid license with previous convictions. At 2:17pm a suspicious person report came from the 800 block of Old Georgetown Rd.
Yet another drug arrest came at 4:25pm in the 800 block of E. Ave. C when a 21 yr old Lampasas man was charged with possession of a PG1 controlled substance under a gram, also for evading arrest.
There were two minor accidents in town, one at 5:25pm in the 800 block of E. 4th and another at 7:50pm in the 1400 block of S. Key. There were no injuries in either crash.
The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa with a medical call and some livestock issues. Kempner had an alarm, an animal complaint and some theft cases, as well as some civil matters. Out in the county it was pretty quiet, though there was a burglary case to investigate and a noise complaint.
The Jail Log showed a 35 yr old Lampasas man was arrested on failure to appear charges and a capias pro fine. A 64 yr old Missouri City man was arrested on a commitment matter.
The Burn Ban was lifted again Monday until Dec 27 at 6pm.
