Many Lampasas are property owners may wonder if they can lower their property tax bite by claiming wildlife exemptions. That and other questions can be answered at a January 18th workshop in the Courthouse Annex Conference Room.
The Texas Parks & Wildlife, in cooperation with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service, are putting on the workshop from 8am to 2pm on that day. Anyone interested in wildlife tax valuation for their property should attend, though it is noted that landowners must have a current 1-D-1 appraisal to be eligible for the potential Wildlife Tax Valuation.
Covered in the workshop will be an overview of the Tax Valuation system, habitat evaluation target species selection, 7 wildlife management practices and more.
