Basketball    (District 27-4A)

Lady Badgers now (16-3) and ranked #7 in one 4A State coaches’ poll and #13 in another.  

The Lampasas girls beat Luling on the road 75-65 on Friday to move them up one more notch in the win column.

That road trip also included the JV team. They also beat Luling, by a wide 51-23 margin..

All teams are also scheduled to play on Tuesday, 12/18 as they host Hutto in Badger Gyms.

Badger Boys Basketball (10-6)  The Varsity team was tested Friday night by Austin Home School but came out on top in the end, 67-65.  Austin started strong, outscoring the Badgers in both early quarters and sending the Badgers to the locker room at half-time down by 20 points.

It was a different story in the last half. Lampasas got back 13 of those points in the 3rd quarter and another 6 points was gained in the 4th period to put them ahead by the 2 point final margin of victory.

Leading the scoring for the Badgers was Asiel Gary with 14, followed by Kolbe Penick with 11, both Mike Murray and Brenton Webb had 10, Raven Wade followed with 9, Nate Borchardt had 7 and Qadir Tolliver had 5.

The JV team(8-7) won over Austin Home School JV 55-33. Leading the scoring were Ryan Linney and Elijah Stanley with 11 points.

The 9th grade team(11-4) also won over Austin, 50-20. Quinn Pace and Jett Bramon led with 10 points each.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18th , all Badger Boys teams will be on the road at Canyon Lake.
