Basketball    (District 27-4A)

The Amazing Lady Badgers (15-3) won another on last night, beating Austin Savio 60-22. They are now ranked by the TGCA as the number 7 team in the state, moved up from the #8 ranking. The TABC has them as number 13, moved up from the #15 ranking the week before. Congratulations, once again, to our Coach Mark Myers, and to these excellent players.

The JV team also beat Savio last night, 45-18.

Both the V and JV head to Luling on Friday for games at 5:15pm and 6:30pm.

All teams are scheduled to play next Tuesday, 12/18 as they host Hutto in Badger Gyms.

Badger Boys Basketball (9-6)  This Varsity team is improving in every game now as they beat a strong Georgetown Gateway team 67-64 in overtime last night. Trailing at half-time the Badgers came back strong in the 3rd and 4th quarters to catch up, then finished on top in overtime. Mike Murray just gets better, leading the team in scoring with 19 last night, strong on 3 pointers and under the basket. Right behind Murray was perennial leader, senior Kolbe Penick with 17 points, also strong on in 3s and under the basket. Asiel Gary had 10 to follow the leaders.

The JV team(7-7) fought, but lost, 40-50 last night to Gateway. Ryan Linney led in scoring with 21 points.

The 9th grade team(10-4) beat Gateway’s 9th last night 58-36. Jett Bramon led with 14 and Quinn Pace had 10 to lead the way.

All the Badger basketball teams will host Austin Home School Association on Friday(12/14) with games starting at 5pm for the 9th Team, about 6;15pm for the JV and 7:30pm for the Varsity.

On Dec. 18th , they’ll be on the road at Canyon Lake.
