The Badgers (1-3) will be up against the Fredericksburg Billies (2-2) at Badger Stadium Tonight, in the last regular season game.
The Badgers are playing, once more, for the number 2 spot in District 14-4A. The Billies are looking for respect, and that playoff spot. Both the Badgers and the Billies have dominating passing offenses. The Billies’ passing stats are 53.6% while Lampasas rate is 73.6%. The Billies passing offense got them 1832 yards so far while the rushing yardage was 1340. Lampasas passing yardage was 2203, while rushing was about 1700 yards. So-o, both teams depend on the pass more than the run.
The Billies’ passer is Sr. QB, #11Brant Bowers, who is also a running threat as he tucks and runs. The biggest run threat is #3 Sr. Hobbs Price, a running back who can also QB and pass well. His rushing average is 6.7 yards.
It should be a great game and it’s a big game, if for no other reason, a confidence builder as Lampasas heads into the playoffs.
If the Badgers win tonight, they go up against the number 3 team in District 13, that’s Brazosport, who finished 4-2 in a 7 team district. Not that there is much difference between Brazosport and Needville, the team that will finish in 2nd place. When Needville and Brazosport played, Needville only won by 14-13. Sealy is the dominant team in that district and they play Needville tonight.
Tonight’s game will be broadcast over KCYL-1450AM with Darrell and Kenny bringing the action play by play from Canyon Lake Fischer. You can listen to the game both live and over LampasasRadio.com.
