Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Wednesday showed a quiet early morning, then a public intoxication report in the 1700 block of CTE at 11:55am.
In the afternoon, there was a forgery report in the 500 block of E. 3rd at 1:37pm. At 3:30pm there was a minor accident reported in the 1900 block of Hwy 281 S, then a suspicious person on Hollywood Dr. at 3:44pm and a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Riverview at 4:07pm. A theft was reported in the 100 block of Riverview at 4:50pm. Two arrests were made in the 5pm hour:
Travis Weldon Thornton, a 43 yr old homeless man, was arrested at the police station on a Pardons and Paroles Warrant for theft under $1500 from the elderly at 5:15pm.
A 29 yr old Lampasas man was arrested in the 900 block of Casbeer St. on Lampasas Municipal Court Warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia.
There was a suspicious person report in the 800 block of S. Key at 6:03pm and another theft report in the 400 block of CTE at 6:44pm.
Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa with an illegal dumping incident, an accident, a disturbance and a suspicious person. Kempner officers worked a civil matter and a fraud case. Out in the county, deputies were dispatched on a harassment call, a civil matter, a disturbance and one fish and game call was reported.
The jail log shows a 43 yr old Kempner man, Johnathan Perry Grimmett, was arrested on a terroristic threat charge, a 68 yr old Kempner man was arrested for violating a promise to appear and a 45 yr old Waynoka OK man, Brett Allen Sample, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and on an out of county charge.
The Burn Ban in Lampasas Co. is lifted until Sunday at 7pm.
