Election Day!

Polls are open 7am to 7pm

This is the day those of us that didn’t get around to voting early are going to get in line at one of the County’s Vote Centers to cast our ballot. There are five voting locations in the County and you can vote at any one of them.

The locations are:

Lampasas New Covenant Church
1604 Central Texas Expressway, Lampasas TX 76550

First Baptist Church in Kempner, Texas
11915 E. Hwy 190, Kempner, TX 76539

JP 2 Office Lometa
200 N. 4th St., Lometa, TX  76853

Clear Creek Baptist Church-Kempner

3350 FM 2657 Kempner, TX 76539

Adamsville Community Center

174 CR 3740 Adamsville, TX 76550

When you go to vote, be sure you have your voter registration card and photo ID (driver license or other photo ID). If you can’t supply one of those, go anyway as they can probably find your registration, etc. on the list.

When you vote, go slow, as there have been reports of some problems with improper use of the machines. They seem to occur when straight party voters get in a hurry and then don’t check to see if their selections were properly made. If you have a problem, ask for help from the attendants on hand.

As we start this last day to vote, there is a record number of Early Vote ballots already in, some 5,117 of them, and it should be heavy voting today. So, don’t wait until the last minute to show up at a polling place because there could be a line.

Lampasas Radio will be covering the Election this evening, starting at 7pm, so you can tune in to KACQ 101.9FM or KCYL 1450AM to get results as they come in, both locally, statewide and nationally.
