Lampasas Police Chief Sammy Bailey reports that, in their Prescription Drug Take Back initiative on October 27th, they collected 6 boxes that contained some 114 pounds of unwanted and unused prescription drugs. Chief Sammy says, “..thanks for your participation in joining our effort to keep these prescriptions off the streets of Lampasas and out of our water system by not flushing them, but disposing of them in the proper manner.”

There will be another such event in April.

Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa had a quiet weekend while Kempner officers worked civil matters, a fraud report and were out to settle a disturbance. Out in the county deputies made lots of traffic stops and worked one accident that took place inside Copperas Cove city limits.

The jail log shows a 56 yr old Killeen man arrested for DWI over the weekend and a 52 yr old Rochelle man was arrested for driving with an invalid license.

The Burn Ban was lifted again, for one more week, ending on Sunday at 6pm.
