Commissioners meet Monday morning

Lampasas County Commissioners Court will meet at 9am Monday morning in the 1st floor of the courthouse. They have a small agenda, including a look at the County Information Resources Agency (CIRA) service agreement, looking at the Burn Ban order, an appointment to the Hill Country Transit Board and discussion on the Jail Project.

City Council Meets Monday Evening

They will discuss some legal matters in closed session, citing legal matters involving the City and the Kempner Water Supply lawsuit with the Central Texas Water Supply Corp. There may also be a special open session concerning the closes session discussions, and the workshop will involve a Planning Retreat Agenda and some personnel policies.

In Regular Session at 7pm there will be some presentations for the Police Dept. and a formality on the $5,000 Beautification donation to the City from Waste Connections. There will be a public hearing on a voluntary annexation of 4 acres of land along the Hwy 281S business area and a consent agenda will put the ordinance in place that prohibits long term parking of boats and RVs on city streets. Other “new” business will include some massaging of the ordinances on the books, re-platting of a lot in east Lampasas, the leasing of a utility-type ATV for the water department, an appointment to the Library Board, an agreement for some $16,417 to do some work in the part of the Old City Hall rehab that will house Municipal Court. The Vision Lampasas group will ask for a $1,500 reimbursement of expenses related to the Indian Artifact event and the Chamber of Commerce 3rd and 4th quarter reports will be discussed.
