Badger Football

The big game this week is the Friday night playoff matchup for Lampasas against Brazosport’s Exporters.

It’s a 7:30pm game in Bryan on Friday and although it looks like an interesting matchup between a passing team and a running team, the Badgers are the pick here, perhaps because of their explosive offense, perhaps because we are prejudiced, and perhaps because the Exporters may be hindered a bit by the recent change in leadership as the Exporters Coach, Mike Ferrell, that had taken them from 1 win per season to last years two-deep in the playoffs, recently left the post and was replaced by Defensive Coach Scott Smithey. We asked Badger Coach Troy Rogers if he thought the change would matter and he said he didn’t think so, “It’s been a couple of weeks and kids forget pretty quick – but, you never know.”

Either way, we are confident the Badgers will be able to come out on top Friday night in what should be a thriller to the end.

Enjoy the trip to Bryan if you can make it, if not, tune in to Lampasas Radio, KCYL 1450AM or lampasasradio.com. for the play by play.
