Preceding the cold front was rain. It fell in Lampasas from about 2pm to 7:30pm, leaving .94in. in the airport gauge.

Today: Sunny weather returns today, though still cool. The high should be about 62°, with N-NW wind 10-15 mph and gusting.

Friday: Sunny with a high reaching 71° and the wind will shift again to the west at 5-10 mph in the morning.

The Opening Day of Deer Season: Saturday morning is predicted to start at 49° at daybreak and warm to a nice 73° in the afternoon. The wind should be out of the south at 5-10 mph at first but increasing to 15-20 mph in the afternoon. It could gust even higher.
