Lampasas Cattle Auction’s weekly sale took place yesterday here in spite of the likely rain, and there were strong numbers.  859 head came through the ring, up from the 508 head a week ago and 460 head a year ago at this time.

Feeders were $8-$10 higher on lightweight animals and $5-$7 higher on heavyweights. Slaughter cows and bulls on the other hand, were $8-$10 lower.
