The DPS notifies us of an accident in Bastrop Co. on Hwy 95. A 2016 Dodge Ram pickup, driving too fast for the conditions on a wet highway, hydroplaned across the highway into the oncoming lane. There it collided with a Honda passenger car, killing four people and sending one child by helicopter to Dell Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the pickup is OK.
Same story, different actors, the innocent die because of the carelessness of another person using the same public road. Please slow down and be careful, especially when the pavement is slick.
The Burn Ban will go back on at 7pm this evening.
