Badger Varsity Football (2-3) has an open date this week. They will head to Burnet(2-3) for the district opener on Oct. 12.

Middle School Football was on the field at Badger Stadium yesterday against Fredericksburg.    Coach Jim Burks reports on his 7th grade teams:

The 7B team was up first and lost to the Billies 26-20.   Asa White scored on an 8 yd run set up by a 73 yard scamper by Keyton John. Ayden Shaw scored a 2 point conversion. A 28 yard pass from Asa White to Marshall Belanger set up a second TD run by White from 2 yards out. Keyton John scored on a 50+ yard fumble return.

The 7A team also found the Billies too tough, losing 28-6. Alijiah Lang scored the only Badger points, taking in a 2 yarder following a defensive stand. Nicholas Torrez had a good game as the leading tackler.

Coach Nicholas Leopold’s 8th grade teams both won their games against the Billies:

The 8B team won 14-8. Elijah Trevino scored on a reverse kickoff return. The kids also scored on a double pass; Rawlin Smith to Ryker Morua to A.J. Rosales. After the TD, the two conversion was successful by pass from Rawlin Smith to Hayden Albrecht. The defense held their own against a tough Fredricksburg team. Defensive standouts from the game were Rylan Myers and Ayden Stanley.

The 8A team won 30-16. On offense, Dylan Sanchez really took control of the offense last night, he had a rushing TD and a passing TD. Ethan Moreno had a receiving TD and a lot of big plays in the game. Owen Stubbs and Jose Parra both caught successful two point conversions. Carter Johnson had some big catches and blocked very well. Defensively Aden Rascoe had an interception returned for a TD and led the team in tackles. Owen Stubbs sealed the game for us with an interception.
